Ecoflow can provide a packaged pump stations suit your requirements. We take care of the design, sizing, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of completely assembled pump stations ranging from 1.0m to 3.0m diameters and depths up to 7.0m.

Our many years of experience working with ITT Flygt, we can provide you with a station that has been designed for optimum efficiency.

Self cleaning
Conventional pump stations with flat floors promote the build up of sedimentation and sludge, which requires regular cleaning and costly maintenance to unclog the pumps. This is not only time consuming and expensive, but also hazardous to personnel.

Ecoflow's custom made pump stations take advantage of ITT Flygt's patented TOPS self cleaning sump base. The geometry of the sump floor has been hydraulically optimised to increase turbulence during pump down, re-suspending solids so that they can be pumped away before they have time to accumulate and cause clogging.

Free from leaks
Ecoflow's pump stations are made from Glassfibre reinforced Polymer (GRP), a strong, light weight material with superior resistance to corrosion, and with a mirror like finish that prevents fatty build ups.

The fibreglass construction and factory assembly ensures that there can be no leaking of wastewater into the environment, or stormwater infiltration back into the sewer system.

Ease of installation
Ecoflow's pump stations are delivered to site complete with inlets, outlets, pump guide rails, access hatches, pumps and ladders as required.

Designed to be simply lowered into place, pipe connections and back filled, site installation work is kept to a minimum. Site excavations need only be kept open for a short period of time and no additional work is required below ground, within the pump station.

Ecoflow's pump stations are light in weight and are therefore easily handled on site, making them ideal for difficult or remote sites.

ITT Fygt TOP performance
Just how effective is the patented ITT Flygt TOPS sump geometry when compared to older sump designs? An extensive series of tests were conducted to arrive at the sump design, investigating a wide range of parameters. Factors such as floor clearances and the spacing between the pumps were also evaluated before the self-cleaning sump design was finalised.

Then a series of performance tests were conducted under laboratory conditions. Sumps with different diameters and floor configurations were tested to measure their ability to prevent sludge build up and efficiency in transporting solids.

Back-to-back testing
As part of these performance tests, two dual pump sump designs (a conventional 1600mm sump and a TOP100 sump) were tested back-to-back. This meant that the two sumps were interconnected, filled with 800 litres of water, and 49kg of solids were put into each sump. The water was then pumped back and forth between the two sumps a total of ten times.

The results?
94kg of solids in the 1600mm conventional sump, compared to 4kg in the TOPS100 sump. What initial testing showed is now evident in the many ITT Flygt TOP pump sumps already installed around New Zealand and the world.
