Site-specific solutions for engineers, councils & consultants.
Trusted by councils and water authorities across New Zealand

The real world
Not every site is flat.
Not every network is simple.
Pressure sewer works where gravity can't. But only when it's specified for the actual conditions, and backed by a team that understands every variable.
Challenging ground conditions
Flat, wet, rocky, hilly, or all four at once. Pressure sewer's constructability is unmatched where conventional gravity systems struggle or fail.
Stormwater and infiltration control
Sealed pressure sewer systems resist stormwater and groundwater infiltration, reducing operational costs and protecting the environment in wet weather.
Cost-effective where gravity isn't
Small-diameter rising mains, shallow depths, no large deep trenches. Pressure sewer can make or break a project's viability.
Support that extends beyond project delivery and through the life of the system, for your project teams and your clients.
Why Ecoflow
Pressure sewer is all we do.
And we do it right.
From community consultation through to commissioning and ongoing support, we get involved in every aspect of the implementation process.
Suited to the site.
Ecoflow offer a no-cost preliminary design service for your development's engineer, providing a cost estimate to identify the most appropriate, most cost-effective solution for your specific site conditions.
Proven in application.
New Zealand's exclusive E/One distributor. E/One invented pressure sewer systems in the 1960s and remain the global market leader, with almost 1 million grinder pumps operating in 45 countries. A 20-year design life standard.
Supported for the long term.
No one else in New Zealand offers this: Ecoflow's skilled technicians support every end user, from inhouse workshops in Auckland and Christchurch, regardless of who installed the system. Our service support line is there long after the project closes.

How we work
How Ecoflow works
with your project team.
Ecoflow project manages the installation of pressure sewer systems from start to finish, getting involved in every aspect of the implementation process.
Free pre-delivery design service
Ecoflow offers a no-cost preliminary design service, providing a cost estimate and helping project teams evaluate the feasibility and most appropriate system for any site.
Network audit and performance monitoring
Ecoflow can monitor your existing pressure sewer network, confirming design assumptions, estimating additional capacity, and assessing how the network is operating.
Commissioning and testing
Once civil and electrical installation is complete, Ecoflow fits the pump and tests the system, and provides all required paperwork once commissioned.
Project management
Ecoflow manages installations from community consultation through to commissioning. Every aspect of the implementation process, handled by the specialists.
Ongoing maintenance, for every system, forever
E/One pumps have a design life of 20 years. Ecoflow provides ongoing service and troubleshooting support from our inhouse service centres in Auckland and Christchurch, no matter who installed the system.
Applications
The right system
for your project type.
Pressure sewer delivers where gravity cannot. Ecoflow has designed and delivered systems across every major application type in New Zealand.
Septic tank replacement
Council schemes retiring ageing or failing on-site wastewater systems across communities.
Greenfield developments
New subdivisions where conventional gravity infrastructure is not viable or cost-effective.
Private pump up systems
Individual property solutions where gravity drainage to the sewer main is not possible.
Common specification questions
What's asked most often.
Technical detail is available via our free preliminary design service. Contact our team for project-specific advice.
How are pressure sewer systems designed?
Ecoflow uses the Probability Method, the most widely used design approach globally. It uses a statistical model to determine simultaneous pump operations, then sizes the pipe network to balance total dynamic head, velocity and retention time. Ecoflow offers a free preliminary design service for every project.
How far can the system pump?
Ecoflow typically designs systems up to 56 metres of total dynamic head, meaning a single E/One pump can pump over a 56-metre hill or several kilometres in a straight line. Site-specific parameters always apply. Contact our team to evaluate your application.
What pipe size is used in pressure sewers?
The typical connection between pump station and property boundary is 40mm. Rising main sizes vary from 50mm to 225mm depending on system hydraulics. Ecoflow recommends PE100 SDR11 high-density polyethylene (HDPE) throughout.
Do you service other manufacturers' systems?
Ecoflow specialises in E/One products. We may not have the expertise to service systems from other suppliers, however we may be able to help retrofit your existing system to be compatible with E/One grinder pumps. Contact us for details.
